Cultivating vines demands full and undivided attention throughout the growing season, as factors such as soil and climate significantly impact the quality of the wine produced. At Afytaion Gaia, the vineyard is cultivated organically, with minimal intervention to preserve the biodiversity of their non-irrigated vines. They focus primarily on indigenous varieties, complemented by internationally renowned ones. Notably, they have conducted experimental plantings of Cabernet Blanc, a new variety resulting from the crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling. This innovative creation, which began as an experiment, has garnered acclaim in international competitions for its complexity, both on the palate and in the nose.
